Water Avens

Another exciting trip out in the car today: more hedge clippings to take to the tip! I stopped on the way back to take some pics of wild flowers growing along the roadside, including this water avens.

Later on we went looking for Primula farinosa: Bird's-eye primrose which grows near a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Our own garden is starting to take shape and this morning we went out to the holiday lodge and did some more planting of primulas in a newly created bed. Some candelabra primulas, cowslips, and primula denticulata. There will be a lot of colour next spring but I will have to make sure I find plants for the other seasons.
