Gymnastics

Miss E hasn't been to gymnastics for weeks.  Not since early April in fact, I've just checked!
We had a couple of weeks when she said she felt ill when we got there and then a few weeks where she just admitted she didn't want to go.
When I asked her why she eventually managed to tell me that she'd made good friends with Miss A - who's new in the class - and she was worried that when she moves up into the higher class she'll miss her.  Her solution was to stop going!
Seven year old logic.
This morning she announced out of the blue that she wanted to go back!
So off we went after school. Miss L was giddy as it meant McDonalds again for the first time in ages!
The groups have all changed since we last went and Miss E is now in a higher class with older children and it's an hour rather than forty five minutes. A bit weird that they didn't let us know but definitely a change for the better.
Also they've put a TV in the parent's area showing what's happening in the gym. Amazing!! After all these years of not knowing what they get up to in there!
Miss E can do the splits and flippy backward walkovers, who knew?!!
Miss L and I had  lovely walk round the fields surrounding the gym. We ran down this track doing train movements with our arms and choo-chooing!!!
Then it was a whirlwind of McDonalds, racing to Buckingham Tescos with the Little Misses and handing them over to Mr K, and then racing to Bicester for a lovely evening with Miss K and a chicken biriyani.
