Aquilegia

Aquilegia - sometimes called 'Granny's Bonnet' or Columbine - is a genus of about 60 perennial plants found growing wild in meadows and woodlands, as well as in gardens. It is recognised by the spurred petals of its flowers. I don't remember planting this as it has sprung up from below another perennial plant and pushed its way through to the sunlight. So good for it! It's a welcome addition to my garden.
