Cinderhill Woods

I could do work in my garden but its more sociable going out with the woodland managment volunteers. Today Avril and I wielded Austrian scythes and cleared brambles from the paths in Cinderhill woods.

Putting out the brown bins this evening I realised I really should have done our front bank where there are brambles, ferns and grasses crowding out the yellow ground cover plant. We don't have an Austrian scythe and it would not do on our bank, where there are plants I want to keep but now my arms are scratched to bits from delving down with secateurs. Brambles have all gone though.  Job done.
