The Beauty of the Mid-June Garden

Dear Diary,

There is nothing more beautiful than the garden in mid-June.  Everywhere you look there is blooms, butterflies and bees.  This is the garden at the end of my studio and it is a symphony of pink and blue.

I've added a close up of one of the peonies growing here. Being on the south side, they always bloom first and are the most extravagant.  I have to stake them securely as they become so heavy with blooms they bend low under the weight.  The air is alive with scents and sounds...it is a wonderful time to be in the garden.

What is one to say about June, the time of perfect young summer, the fulfillment of the promise of the earlier months, and with as yet no sign to remind one that its fresh young beauty will ever fade.
