The end of the concert

Another 'phew' day and another wet, dreich day.

It was difficult getting going again after 4 days away. We eased ourselves in gradually by planting the plants on the balcony and reviving the drooping lobelias.

Much of talking today about partnerships and funding followed by a dash downtown for another gruelling session of pain and agony, masquerading as a massage. I now have stretches to do.

As it was still raining and I was running late I jumped cab to get back to the office. BIG mistake. The re-routing for the tramworks around St Andrew's Square led to gridlock, not helped by an unhelpful driver, or maybe he was just confused.

An afternoon of more discussions on partnerships and then off to sing. I was late, tired and sore - and hungry, lunch and tea were supermarket sarnies.

Despite wearing my highest heels (not good after a thigh massage) I still couldn't see our dear leader. For some reason we have the smallest behind the tallest! But we sang, and we made mistakes and we got very hot and our adoring crowd loved 'Unchained Melody' and then, music stacked in the boxes, folders in the crates and plastic sleeves collected another session was over and we repaired to 'The Southsider' for a glass or two of Sauv Blanc.

Home, after midnight, very, very tired but no longer alone, as #3 son is back from Aber for the summer. The remote may no longer be mine, but it's good to see him again.
