Cheap Entertainment....

....provided by the "friendly feeder"!  Just this morning alone we've had not only the birds chowing down, but 3 squirrels, 2 chipmunks & a young rabbit--all grazing underneath the feeder at various times! The chipmunks were there first, & didn't like the rabbit coming over! They  hopped toward the rabbit a couple of times in what seemed like an attempt to intimidate it! The rabbit, however, responded with a much larger hop, & the chipmunks took off! Then the squirrels came & chased off the rabbit, so the chipmunks came back, but the squirrels chased them off too! Meanwhile, up on the feeder were the "bird wars"! The sparrows chased off a grackle, then the house finch chased off several of the sparrows, who slowly started coming back, but stayed out of the house finches' way!  The house finch is pictured here today--it has the red head....a sparrow in the center, & my "ghost" bird--another sparrow--coming in from the right!  Such fun to watch, & it's Cheap Entertainment!!  :))
