A day and a half!

Mum had an early fall on the way to the bathroom and we ended up with the `rapid response' team visiting at 5.30am (they are such an amazing pair of women).  Fortunately the main damage was superficially skin damage to her hand which I managed to clean and cover over and the R &R nurse was able to sort out her the other more pressing problem.  Drama over, she was able to sleep (but no chance for us).  We seemed to have one visitor after another yesterday - the Macmillan physio with a whole new set of equipment to try, Jane who is doing some cleaning for us and Merv with eggs.  Fortunately my sister was arriving at lunchtime to take-over for a few hours, so we took ourselves off to lunch at the Wortley Arms, which was wonderful.  Meanwhile back at the ranch, they had a visit from one of the practice doctors - who we weren't expecting.  Ann had an appointment at the hospital in the afternoon to look at a small lump near her eye and ended up having a conversation with the consultant about the independent school system in this country and military schools in Pakistan.  The good news was that he didn't think the lump was anything to worry about, though he'd was very willing to remove it.
Finally I got round to taking a few photos in the garden with the lens baby before resuming duties.

We brought a pot of aliums back from mum's garden the last time we visited - so I've chosen one of them as today's blip.
