Carys the runner!

After yesterday's trip everyone was tired, but this afternoon we had Hitchin Schools Athletics competition, so we weren't allowed to be tired (To be honest Carys isn't allowed to be tired until Sunday afternoon). Carys was in the 50m B race for large schools. We are classed as a large school as we have an intake of 38 per year, anything over 30 is large so we compete against schools who have an intake of 60 and therefore more kids to choose from. She came 2nd in her race and was relatively pleased, but the year 3 girls 50m relay team did really well and won and the chance over from L to Carys was really good. You could tell they had practiced. Unfortunately we were asked not to take photos of the competition as there were a number of children at other schools, who can't be photographed for various reasons. Shame as I got some great action shots last year.

We came second large school over all so that means we are through to the North Herts finals in July. Yay!

Poor Will stayed at school until I got back with the kids I had taken at 4pm. But secretly I think he had had a great time with the two TA's who were sat with him.
