Pietra Dura marble table

The superb 'Pietra Dura' marble table is situated on the main staircase in the Geological Museum in London (part of the Natural History Museum).

It is a black marble table top inlaid with a selection of different marbles from Devon beautifully arrange to show the different colours and fossils.
