Corn

Spent most of the morning with Angus Furniture Recycling Project in Arbroath arranging for them to collect a couple of beds and table that I need no more. They have a system whereby they can help people in need of furniture but can't afford it, e.g. students, or people moving into a new home, or having an addition to the family and need another bed or cot, and so on.  So what with having a chimney breast removed and getting rid of bulky furniture I'm beginning to feel free to start a new life. Watch this space!  Then spent most of this afternoon chasing bees around the garden. Strangely enough they ignored the newly-bloomed foxgloves and spent their time on the Aqualegias, flitting from one to the other and not staying still at all and all the shots were fuzzy. Then I began to think there must be more to life than chasing bees!!!  This corn stem was growing underneath the bird's feed tray, so I brought it in to blip - it was too windy outside.  Nothing to stand it up in so I drank the orange juice from this carton and used the strawhole to stand the corn up in.  Played about a bit in Elements to make it more interesting.  My mother used to roll silver paper round the heads to make them into attractive decorations - it took her hours!
