Wildflowers

I adore wild flowers.  When I saw the wildflower meadow in Pipe Hall Farm Woodland Trust estate, I just cried - it was so beautiful.

I was horrified to learn from a dog walker in the park that DEFRA had dug it all up ! Apparently they didn't have enough trees........

This photo is of a strip of protected land where an old roundabout used to be.  Pipe Hill Heathland. The grasses are very long, and there wasn't much sun, so the blue butterflies were nowhere to be seen.
