A Day Worth Recording

By Cheeseminer

Holiday

A couple of weeks back we concluded that we were only really going to get 'days off' if we physically left the building and went and did something.

Today was such a day, though it did begin with a certain amount of lounging around in bed.  For most of the day we walked up and around Bredon Hill near Pershore.  We'd eye'd up the hill from the Malverns several times and thought it would be a good place to look back from.

The weather was a bit murky so that proved less spectacular than hoped for, but it was a good long walk and interesting to see the earthworks at the top (extra pic).

We came back via Pershore for a wander and a cream tea.

In the evening we went to a gig.  The Peatbog Faeries were playing at Hellens - a somewhat ancient house (circa 1096) out beyond Ledbury. Have to say for a 1000-year-old house it's not looking too bad.

The Faeries were livelier, smokier and louder than your average fairy.
