A Day Worth Recording

By Cheeseminer

Holi Day

With all the complex happenings this year there was really only one day that all five of the family would be free to go on holiday. Today was that day.

That said, it started with moving furniture around and sorting out the electronic junk in the signalbox.

We had a vague plan: "Norfolk".

First target was Sherringham - mostly because it started raining while we were driving up there (typical) and had paused when we reached Sherringham so we thought we'd make the best of it.

Having spent the morning in hot sunshine none of us has brought much other than shorts and T-shirt. A quick rummage found a few coats and jumpers in the car. Still a bit cool.

When it started drizzling again we headed over to Cromer. After sheltering in a cafe for a while - entertained by the bracing wind blowing a parasol around (we're happy with simple pleasures...) the weather eventually cleared.

The Cheeseminors may be adults with serious plans, but sandcastles are still on the agenda...
