Another lazyish day as we begin to think about what to do next. Fred has read a bit about climbing Mount Rinjani in Lombok and we decide to look into it, emailing some guides who are recommended online. The trek/climb seems to be pretty popular but, looking at the reviews, also looks like it's a hard climb to the peak. We get a reasonable quote from one guy to join a group so decide to go for it.

Fred has a bit of a dodgy belly this arvo, not what you want for a trek, but takes something for it and we head to the only shopping mall in Mataram to get some bits and pieces. It doesn't look promising when we arrive as its a bit old and tired but we get everything we need including some shorts and a new diary for Andy and a torch for Fred for the 2am summit trek.

The main reason for coming though was the number one tripadvisor restaurant is here so in we go. We order and are warned it's going to be spicy ... which it is ... very tasty too but boy it's hot ... phew!
