Happy First Birthday Jessica

Today was our granddaughter's first birthday - the year seems to have flown by so quickly and she is now developing into a proper little person.

We met up at Cannon Hall Farm (near Barnsley) - with our son and with her other grandparents.  

After coffee we spent a couple of hours wandering around the farm  - we watched ferret and sheep racing - Jessica was loving all the animals. She recognises lots of them and was making some of the appropriate noises! She had great fun.

We had planned to have a picnic - but the weather wasn't great and the picnic area was overrun with small schoolchildren! So we decamped back home to open cards and presents and eat a late lunch / early tea!

Our daughter had decorated the house a little and made a wonderful cake with Raa Raa The Noisy Lion - Jessica's favourite character from a CBeebies show. Balloons and cake are in the extra shots today.

Heard the full version of Jessica (not just the Top Gear bits) on the radio the other day - superb memories of my schooldays!
