Happy Pig

It was our granddaughter's second birthday today and we had a family gathering at Cannon Hall Farm near Barnsley - there were parents, grandparents, a great grandma.and an uncle to help celebrate!

We met for 'brunch' in the cafe just before the farm opened - I had a very nice English breakfast, with produce from the farm (well sausage and bacon at least).

It is a great place to visit and the pens are arranged so that you can look down on the animals - rather than straining to see over fences. They have pigs, cattle, sheep, goats, alpacas, llamas and donkeys. This sow was fast asleep - seemingly oblivious to the piglets running around. Also added an extra of an alpaca with an amusing hairdo...

After walking around and watching a sheep race we headed for the indoor soft play area / cafe  - grown ups for a cup tea and the birthday girl for a romp around.

Then we all headed back to Doncaster for party tea!
