Curious Cattle, Opuha

I've been out exploring the area again today; on my way back from a matting class at Pleasant Point, hosted by OldTimer, I decided to take the scenic route home, returning to the forest via Hanging Rock, Opuha and the Opihi River Valley.

Climbing up on to the Kakahu Hills north of the Opihi, I stopped near the tiny hamlet of Opuha to get this shot of these cattle with the milky afternoon sun illuminating the paddocks and their snow clad backdrop.
