I went and gave assistance today in the clearing of a section of the foreshore on the North West coast of the Island near Jurby.

Here we are being briefed. You would not have expected too long a briefing on how to pick up litter but we are right in the middle of the nesting season for some sea birds such as the Arctic Tern.

We were being advised to be very careful not to disturb any ground nesting birds.

There was a considerable amount of refuse removed.
