Hazard

We drive home late this morning , through drizzle, shafts of sun shine and the occasional torrential downpour. Summer has still not arrived.

The ground is sodden in the west at present and we are beginning to see some trees, heavy with leaf, sliding down banking or keeling over in a very moderate wind as their roots lose their purchase in the damp earth.

Within the space of half a mile on the road to Colintraive there were two such hazards. This one was less than a mile from our house.
