Back in 'dear old Blighty'

The morning after arriving back from my Armenia trip (after midnight) it was a joy to experience gentle drizzle in the garden. It was even more joyful to find that a couple of Common Spotted Orchids were in flower. I spotted the tubers in some piles of excavated earth at a development site nearly a year ago and decided to rescue them. I now have a container in the garden that is a little patch of North Buckinghamshire habitat, featuring the orchids and a number of other plants, including Common Gromwell, that have come up from the seed bank in some of the excavated soil.
