Drinking Sparrow

Woke too early to a phone call. Could have spent the day grumbly but decided not to. Instead I chose to have a quiet morning and to do some blips even though it meant Arvin would be bored a bit and on his own upstairs. Soon we both take off to pick up Helena for an afternoon together.

Tonight is the first concert of the Bellingham Festival of Music. Arvin and I have gone to practically every concert since the festival began in 1993. This summer is no different. We have our usual season's tickets in our usual seats. Ahhh. Such a great way to spend a summer.

Home after the concert. Vadim Gluzman playing the Chaikovsky violin concerto was phenominal. And on the Stradivarius that the violinist used who first played the concerto. The audience screamed and clapped and were on their feet in a heartbeat. The rest of the concert was great too.
