Wildflowers!

Hello Blipfriends!
Dolly here again!

My mum and I had a little struggle today on which one of us was going to do the blipfoto report!  She said she wanted to do it and had a really good picture to share, but I said I REALLY wanted to share the wonderful wildflowers that are now growing in our new favourite park.  Aren't they wonderful?  We think more will be coming up soon, and I also really like all the long grass that is now allowed to grow.  There are some nice woods and a secret lake too (it must be a secret lake as we didn't know it was there for a very long time!)

Mum finally relented and let me share the main blipfoto.   You can see what SHE did today (without me!!) by clicking on the extra photos.

Today was the annual Open Day at Yeldall Manor, the drug and alcohol Rehab centre that mum's parents (my first mum) started in the 1970s.  We live very near Yeldall and sometimes go walking there in the beautiful grounds.  Today there were lots and lots of people visiting and mum helped out with serving tea and coffee (she's had a little experience with that).  Mum's sister Tina was there too with her cute little granddaughter, Aneeta.  Mum was glad to see that even at an early age Aneeta is interested in airplanes and airports.

Mum said that the best part of the day wasn't the fun activities or the delicious food (a BBQ and then a Cream Tea with strawberries and scones) but hearing all the wonderful stories of the residents' changed lives as they bravely face up to their addictions with God's help.  Everyone celebrated with them as they heard their moving stories.
