Tiny Tuesday: Knot a good thing...?

I rather like the patterns of the grain in this little knot, which is less than 1cm in diameter. The peeling paint has exposed it nicely.

What I don't like is that it's in the door of our "boilerhouse" (ie a little cubbyhole room just outside our back door, which used to house a toilet when the house was built in 1904). I think a bit of burning-off and repainting is in order; that's my job for today sorted :)

(Perhaps this would have been more appropriate to "Derelict Thursday" than to "Tiny Tuesday"?)

(PS Just realised today was supposed to be a "mystery" day for Tiny Tuesday - sorry I missed noticing that!!)
