Serendipity

It was a fortunate happenstance indeed that led son W and me to downtown Bellingham for lunch today. We parked near a taco truck he used to frequent while at college here, and to his complete surprise, sitting at a nearby outdoor table, enjoying their tacos, were two dear friends of his!

L, on his left above, lives in Texas, and was in Seattle visiting A, on the right. They came to Bellingham to visit A's sister, who lives here, and was among the others seated at the aforementioned outdoor table. L, A, and W went to high school together, as well attending Western Washington University together, and have shared each other's joys and challenges for years.

After a quick catch-up and making plans for W to join them later this afternoon and get a ride back to Seattle as well, he and I continued our walk to an excellent lunch at Aslan Brewing Company, one of the newer breweries in Bellingham. It was the first time there for both of us, and a return visit definitely is in order!
