Entertaining

Woke early, usual weekend feeling and dozed to R4.  In and out, in and out.

Entertaining today so a cooking morning which is enjoyable and such a treat for me.  #3 son was back at work.  i think he had an interesting rendezvous yesterday, but no word of it.  Did #2 son have a similar one on Friday night?  Probably not.

I cooked in the morning, not complicated.  The fiddly bit was the Vietnamese spring rolls during which Tom phoned. So olives etc for the aperos, then Vietnamese spring rolls, followed by Sticky chicken, rice and Malaysian salad and finally strawberry Pavlova.  Excerpts from my round the world trip.

The guests were my cousin and his partner. #2 son wheeked through on his way out to watch the tennis.  He's just realised that his friend couldn't eat until this evening and he hadn't eaten either.

It wasn't warm enough to sit in the garden but we had a good look.  It is looking good.  Then we ate and it turned out my cousin loves Pavlova so this was what was left.

After they'd gone I put up bird box #2, and reinstated pictures removed for the redecoration.

Another Sunday evening home alone.
