A wake

At lunchtime today I gathered five students at St Pancras and Euston, met up with my fellow tutor and we all headed off to the Teaching English boat, this time starting from Leighton Buzzard. The moment I got talking to the students I wished I was staying for more than just a weekend. I could have done, but when I turned down the fortnight's teaching I never thought my full time job would be disappearing...

Once all nine students had arrived, we chugged into the long light evening - outdoors, warm, slow - under the trees with ducks, moorhens and swans.

And breathe.

Next year, for sure.
