Chicken biryani II

The second chicken biryani recipe was a big improvement on the first. Although it was woefully short of salt and the rice was overcooked, the colour was much better and it didn't taste of balti paste, being made with raw spices.

Earlier, to start work on the bookcase meant that I had to move the fish tank, so I took the opportunity to clean it. Then there was only time to cut and drill four pieces of wood before I had to leave to meet up with my parents who were being visited by my Dad's sister and her husband. [See extra.] I've not seen them for some time so it was good to catch up.
Back home I started work properly on the bookcase, until it was time to cook a late tea.
