RV's Welcome here!!

Well this is a world first for CCN and I.  For the first time we decided we would call in to a RV (Recreation Vehicle) Camp Site, as opposed to a Caravan Park.  We have always felt a little more secure in a designated park.  We are members of the Campervan and Motorhome Association of Australia and we had read only last week of a fantastic new camp site that had been opened in the lovely little town of Eumundi on the Sunshine Coast just north of Brisbane.

We had a committee meeting and decided that this would be a great opportunity to chance our arm.  The site was opened officially on the 2nd of July and it's absolutely wonderful.  They have spent over $200,000 on a great amenities block, hot showers and all and it only costs the tiny sum of $12 if you're a member of the CMCA.  It seems that RV Friendly Towns are growing in numbers throughout Australia as commercially Grey Nomads are definitely worth knowing.  Most of them are retired and having nothing else to do but travel and spend their kids inheritance :-))

It is worth looking at the larger version of the image just so that you can see more clearly the fantastic images on the amenities block.  They are images of people who have featured in the "Body Art" Festival, a huge event that is held in Eumundi every year.

I'm loading this image in haste (before my laptop runs out of battery) so I will have more time to comment and head over to the Tiny Tuesday entries when I reach Bundaberg tomorrow.  Hope all is well with my blip buddies and I have to tell you, the "Open Road" is a great place to be.

PS - Have a good read of the welcome sign at the entry to the Eumundi RV Friendly site.  It might inspire you to hop in the van and head north!!  By the way, "Mini Mo" is the one in the middle, as you can see not many people know about this fantastic camp site yet.
