Goldenpass Line

Today we tried to keep out of the sun a bit by going on one of the Swiss Scenic Train Routes from Montreux to Gstaad.  The line goes onto Interlaken.  We did the other part of the line from interlaken to Luzern a few years ago when we were on holiday in Wengen so we're just missing the bit in the middle now.  This view was taken early on in the journey as the train climbs up out of Montreux with these fabulous views over the town and Lake Geneva.  Lovely trip.

We liked Gstaad too - a very pretty town with lots of very exclusive shops - I only went in two. The tennis starts there next week so they were busy preparing for that.  The town was beautifully quiet compared to Montreux which we are finding a bit noisy for us.  We came back on the Classic Train - a beautifully restored example - see the extra photo.

Some interesting clouds around tonight.  Still no air moving.
