Life through the lens...

By ValC

Spuds.

We have had one of our favourite meals tonight, and all local grown.
The photo is of our own " Charlotte" potatoes.
Grown in a sack, outside the front door. Served with fresh mint, also home grown.
The broad beans we picked this morning, from the fruit farm, about 4 miles away.
Grilled lamb chops, from the local farm shop.
(Saw them grazing in the fields not long ago!)
Then for dessert, black currant and mint tart. Black currants also picked from the fruit farm this morning.
Just the cream, and butter bought from the supermarket.

Also today the sun shone, and the decorator has been able to crack on. Windows finished and drying OK.
Down stairs finished, and just the landing to have a second coat on the walls and doors.
So tomorrow we will be almost back to normal. Just the new carpet to be delivered and fitted, and someone to clean the settees and curtains.

Thank you for all the comments and stars for my spider's web. It had gone this morning. Think the rain washed it away.
