Dahlia Time

Whether we wake or we sleep,
Whether we carol or weep,
The Sun with his Planets in chime,
Marketh the going of Time.
~Edward Fitzgerald

It is dahlia time at the Arboretum gardens, and there are many shades of them in bloom. I love the intricate folds of the dahlia flowers themselves, and so you might expect that I would photograph the front of the bloom, where the folds reside.

But no. Somehow, on this day, the back of the bloom seemed most interesting. And there to the left of the pink bloom is the solar clock to prove where I found it! Dahlia time. Summer time. Life time. Time is passing. Do not let it pass you by. Seize the day!

The tune: Pink Floyd, with Time.
