City of Angels

I had the privilege of meeting two of Edinburgh's newest arrivals today. Twin girls born so, so early but who are perfect in every way. They are remarkable and adorable little girls with the most incredible fighting spirit. A true blessing.

They are being cared for in the Neonatal Unit at the Royal and they could not be in better hands. The staff there are incredible - in both dealing with the children who pass through the Unit and their parents, who are also in need of support. I know this only too well as Miss A spent the first two weeks of her life in the Unit. If it weren't for them, Miss A would not be with us.

The staff are angels in every sense of the word.
