River of Flowers

Hover Fly (aka Drone Fly)

The young uns set off on their long drive home and arrived safely late afternoon.

I took advantage of the dry and sunny weather. Cleared lots of spent flowers and dead foliage and what felt like hundreds of leaves from the Cordyline which the winds had brought down.

It was a lovely evening and the hover flies and bees were busy on the flowers, the cold, windy and wet weather really hasn't been good for them. The one in today's blip is a "whopper" and was happy to pose for photos
