Copper Polishing

We visited the copper town, Santa Clara del Cobre, this afternoon as we have done many times previously. Typically, we arrive here during the annual competition, but this year that will take place after we depart Pátzcuaro. They townsfolk were, however, getting ready for the upcoming festivities which start a week from today. This young man was polishing copper flower pots which will rim the perimeter of the plaza. If you look closely, you can see the buildings reflected in the now gleaming copper.
