Tiny Tuesday Challenge: Meerkat

I had ideas of getting out my macro kit and taking a shot of something incredibly close up and detailed for the challenge. That was before we went to Castle Ashby this morning for a walk round the gardens and spotted these new-born meerkat pups. There were four that we could see, but the adults were being very protective and hiding them from view most of the time. Hunger got the better of this one though, and he decided he needed to suckle mum for a snack. The adult meerkats are only about a foot tall so the pups can only have been around three inches long at the most.
