Pink Boat

With strong winds blowing rain in horizontally along the Street in Stromness, it was time to call on the services of our bus passes and visit St Margaret's Hope an hour away with its acclaimed craft shop.
The rain was absent in Kirkwall and the sun was out when we reached journey's end. Not only that, but the icing on the cake was Poppy on duty in the craft shop. We had a brief catchup between customers and an arrangement made for a future get together.

There was just time for a bite to eat in a dodgy looking café which turned out to be just fine, a walk along the bay and a mini explore of the village before the bus whisked us back at no expense to Stromness and the library, for a browse with a view.

I like to think this pink dinghy on the shore at St Margaret's Hope belongs to a woman. Surely no self respecting man would admit to using it
