Calm Horse

A very stressfull "Mission Impossible" type day on site in down town Aberlour. The narrow lanes we had to survey through seemed to have a constant flow of delivery trucks, vans and cars. At one point a guy reversed his mini bus up to within 3 yards of the theodolite right in our line of sight locked it up and then said "That's not in the way is it?"
I was beyond frustration by this stage and decided to move all the kit to another part of the site and return here at a quieter time. This is a site that the client thought would take just a couple of days. KEEP CALM!
Despite the urban nature of this project part of the exercise included a small field with horses and the lady caring for them was really pleasant and helpful to us.

Here are two of the horses. They seem easy going and contented and I needed to take a leaf out of their book. This was a silly photo to attempt, black and white horses backlit against a bright sky. While the lens here has an equalising effect the black horse is half the size of the white one standing two steps further back. Sorry if this is obvious but I really can't tell after looking at the shot for a few minutes myself.

Day 3 of 2 tomorrow.
