Pittenweem Art Festival

We had a good nights sleep and a hearty breakfast in The Marine in Crail. Rather a quirky hotel with an eccentric owner but we enjoyed our stay and the room had fantastic views over the sea to Bass Rock and the Isle of May.The night was clear  and we could see the lighthouse shining on the island and the moon reflected it's light on the sea.
A must do was to visit the Pottery. Some super pieces and I did come away with a few bits.
We then went to the Art Festival In Pittenweem . We had tea and cakes before we started our tour of all the art and craft places ranging from displays in town halls and churches, to peoples kitchens, lounges, garages and marques, anywhere and everywhere there was art on show by over 100 artists. We did nt get to see everything but what we did see was very impressive. I've blipped one of the many pretty houses in Pittenweem with one of the sculptures in the garden and as you can see the sun shone :)))
A long but beautiful drive back through Glenshee and over the Lecht stopping for Vension Casserole at the Allargue Arms which over looks Corgarff Castle.
We saw several rainbows on the way back as there were rain showers and sunshine for most of the way through the mountains.
