Self Assurance

There were so many photos from this day that I loved that it has been almost impossible to choose one to blip!

One of the young members from our team is training to be a dancer and used her skills to put on a short dance performance with the children from Child of Hope, Uganda. Supported by another team member (our youngest at only 13 years old!), she auditioned the entire school of more than 400 children and then chose a cast of 150! It was a truly awesome performance, which she choreographed entirely herself! It was incredibly well executed, within only a few days and despite many set backs, including having to bring the whole thing forward by a day and a half because it was only discovered at the last minute that some of the key performers had exams on the day allocated for the performance!
This young man was one of the star performers - only 8 years old - and he was amazing! The photo was taken later on in the day at the open air meeting that the church held in Namatala slum every night for four nights. I love his expression of self assurance.

Five more back blips to go.......
If you've just joined my journal, my Ugandan adventure started here!

Many thanks for your continued support and all your good wishes for my health - now definitely showing signs of improvement - I almost feel 'me' again! :)
