An ordinary life....

Kangaroos.....

Backblip

...not welcome in St Andrews!   Well you learn something new every day!  :D

Due to still being on Kiwi time, Dave and Karen were awake at silly o'clock and went for a wander down the main street.  Nothing was open apart from the Bakers where they managed to get a takeaway coffee.

Back for breakfast then the four of us headed off to St Andrews for lunch stopping for a quick visit to the monument to the witch Maggie Wall.  Dave left her a bribe gift of 20p to ensure good weather and safe travels.

To my delight, the spirit of Maggie got to work and the weather took a turn for the better and we had blue skies and sunshine.  I really want Karen and Dave to see Scotland at her best so here's hoping Maggie keeps her side of the bargain.

After lunch our visitors had a wander around St Andrews Cathedral, then we took them on a whistle-stop tour of the East Neuk.

Back home and just time for Karen and Dave to have a brief rest before we headed out to dinner at our local deli cafe.  We did a short detour on the way home via Gleneagles and one of the local standing stones.

Time for a wee dram then bed beckoned.

A really lovely day :-))

Today's blip is a shot of Dave photographing the rabies prevention sign at St Andrew's harbour.  No kangaroos allowed.  Just as well he left his at home (although where he got a roo on NZ I don't know :-))

Extra shots include St Andrew's Castle and Karen looking lovely and composed and me looking like I've been dragged through hedge backwards!
