Runnymede to Windsor on the Thames

G & I had a very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable day out on a river boat from Runnymede to Windsor (see extra photos), which included a lovely picnic on the way back.

We spent about four hours on the boat and three hours in Windsor, then an hour at Runnymede looking at the American Bar Association Memorial to Magna Carta (main photo) and the JFK memorial.

The trip included commentary on the history of the area and the wildlife (we were lucky enough to see four Kingfishers!!!).   It was a great blip trip and I'd thoroughly recommend it as just the best way to see the area.
