The Long Slow Journey Home

We got home at 10pm – all tired and weary after our lovely holiday.  We had set off for home at 10am!  After taking what seemed like a very long time to cover not very far, we stopped off for lunch in Tuxford in Nottinghamshire and had a wander to stretch our legs.  Late afternoon we stopped off in Yorkshire at my in laws for tea.  BB and I went for a walk in the late afternoon sunshine as he wanted to see where there had been a fire.  After  our walk around town to inspect the fire damaged buildings and a play at the play park, BB had a nice paddle in the River Swale. After tea, we were on our way again.
