MV Loch Seaforth Leaving Ullapool

Apothecary7, Maeve the Deerhound and I travelled to Ullapool today. I had the cruise control locked in on the A9 to cope with the average speed cameras.
We stopped at The House of Bruar for an early lunch, and at Inverness to top up the petrol tank. On the road West we did have to wait for half an hour not far past the Altguish Inn while a crane recovered a Tesco lorry which had run off the road ! (we did our shopping quite quickly after settling in but having been back to Tesco on Sunday I don't think stock levels have been badly affected).
Before dinner we had a walk and while we were down near the pier we watched the new ferry MV Loch Seaforth depart for Stornoway. It looked huge when we thought back to The Suilven, which was the ferry when we lived on the Isle of Lewis. Shorter crossings on a larger vesel will be a blessing for all those sailing.

Extra shot ... evening at the harbour.
