Through a Gap in the Hedge

22.7C with sunny spells the clouding over through the afternoon. It will rain before evening. Light breeze.

As Maeve the Deerhound and I started off on our walk after lunch a big yellow and blue New Holland Combine Harvester was working its way up the field that is just across the road from our house. We walked up the road and I got some shots through a gap in the hedge once it had turned round.

The Combine went back down the field and discharged its grain into a tractor towed trailer which was waiting near the field entrance. As we walked up towards the church the Combine worked its way across the field towards the bank where the three trees are. It went back and forth twice then stopped.

Maeve and I walked up past the church then down the field with the bridle path to the shore then along the cycle path before turning up for home. When we passed the field entrance the yellow Combine was still not moving. A green and white Combine (probably this one) had taken over the harvesting.
