But, then again . . . . .

Lagonda.

While Alp and myself were out cycling today, we happened to stop for a morning coffee in Gifford. While we were there we noticed this Lagonda pulling up so, having leisurely consumed beverage and cake, we wandered over to check it out. Parked right behind it was a rather scruffy Bentley, but it is probably a "work in progress." There was obviously some sort of small gathering taking place as, ten minutes later we saw a third vintage, open-top tourer heading towards this pair.

Lunch was at The Victoria Inn in Haddington, we hadn’t been there before, they served an excellent meal but, when I checked the bill that evening, I found that they had forgotten to charge us for our drinks; we may go back there again.

Correction: By Googling the Bentley's registration number, I was able to ascertain that, far from being a work in progress, it has looked the same for many years and regularly makes appearances at British race trace tracks and hill climbs. It is a hard working motor car.
