Perched

Treading gingerly through the undergrowth to get this shot was tricky but needs must!

An early start to a long day of travelling home and knowing I had to have some sort of blip we set out for a 20 minute stroll near the water at Kittatinny Valley State Park which was just at the bottom of the track of our B&B.

Thankfully I spotted this Widow Skimmer, so called because the male abandons the female after mating, letting her lay the eggs on her own.

A day of travelling!
