'Home from home', Plaster House, Tanzania, Arusha

IMPACT's partner in Tanzania, the Arusha Medical Centre, sends rural outreach teams to identify children with operable conditions, such as debilitating skeletal fluorosis (caused by excess fluoride in local water); burn injuries; club foot and hydrocephalus. The Plaster House provides ‘home from home’ post-operative care for children after surgery. 

Whilst they recover, children are taught in the Plaster House classroom.  Yesterday was spent making these beautiful flowers.
