Above And Beyond...

Yat Walk

It's Mrs BB's first day off. She'd checked the weather forecast on Monday and determined that Wednesday was the best day to go walking. I arranged to collect the two dogs from our friend, Theresa, who was only too delighted as she was in Bristol for the day.

We drove to Yat Rock, Symonds Yat, and did a five mile walk taking in forestry and the last couple of miles along the River Wye, where the dogs enjoy swimming. Half way road is Forest Lodge log cabin site. They have a lovely cafe where we stop for refreshments. The extra photo is of Mrs BB and Honey (2 years) who decided to do a fence walk!

Late afternoon, when we returned to the car, we drove to Ross on Wye with the rear glass window of the Smart car open (the dogs in a cage) as the pup (Honey) loves to look out whilst the older one (10 years) lays down for a nap.

The main photo is taken along the river at Ross where we stopped at The Ship & Anchor for a chilled drink. My boss rang asking me to work a night shift as the person working it has mum in hospital following a road traffic collision. I love being out in the night.

I think the birds in the photo are wild geese?
