Johnshaven Fish Festival

Spent most of the day in Johnshaven enjoying the food and fun of the Fish Festival. Hundreds of shots - difficult to choose from so here is the seafront and the inevitable presence at east coast events - Arbroath Smokies!  The bottom left inset which is the Haidresser's, used to be the house I lived in many years ago. The Festival has changed since it started 19 years ago - not so much pipes and highland dancing these days. In fact I got there too late for the pipers - they only stayed for half-an-hour.  The weather was changeable all day - a bit of a drizzle but quite a bit of sun from time to time. Lots of fishy food so everyone was happy:-)  The extra is the entrance to what I think must have been an Ice Cellar in days gone by, for the use of local fishermen.
